TOY BIZARRE "kdi dctb 180"
10"

It's acous-MAGIC!! French CEDRIC PEYRONNET (aka TOY BIZARRE) is currently one of the most impressive composers using & processing pure nature recordings, shaping them into something beyond the known...his soundscapes are full of details and circling dynamics but keep a floating & atmospheric character. The two pieces on 'kdi dctb 180' (23 min. playtime) were created from field recordings made at a 'hidden place' in France that Cedric remembered from his childhood: "It's a place where you can feel there is something. There is a path deep in the woods, where, as a child, I used to run - walking was really too frightening there. Spent a lot of time there, trying to track down the essence of the place, trying to catch the unknown."

The music is in a steady transformative process and has a great 'circling' character, it moves from more concrete sounds to floating and droning ones, from recognizable to the unrecognizable, and changes directions when you don't expect it, always keeping a great spatial quality. As a listener you are very near and 'within' the sounds. Streaming water and 'wetness' build a kind of aural frame for the compositions and appear often.. like ARTIFICIAL MEMORY TRACE, ERIC LA CASA or FRANCISCO LOPEZ, this is not just a recording of "what was", but a scheme of what could be!! This is a one time pressing of only 300 copies on transparent vinyl, with colourful artwork by Cedric Peyronnet.
